Ramadan is a period of Ibaadah(fasting) self-discipline, empathizing with the less privileged. It is also a period for purifying the mind and body.
In this post, we will be highlighting on some of the causes of bad breath and how to prevent it whilst fasting.
General causes of bad breath.
These include poor oral hygiene, improper cleaning of dentures, smoking, nutrition (eating raw garlic and onion),sinus, digestive disorders among others.
Most of us interact with people at our work place, buses and the public in general. Doing away with mouth odor in this period can be a bit difficult.
Here are some tips to keep your mouth fresh in this Month.
- Brush your teeth thoroughly before bedtime and also after Suhuur.
- Floss your teeth at least once daily.
- Clean your tongue thoroughly whilst brushing.
- Use a non-alcoholic mouth wash.
PS: should be done right after eating your pre-dawn meal (suhuur)
